Executive Summary

Following the implementation of the new Constitution at the full Combined Fire Authority meeting on 21 September 2026, the Audit Committee is asked to note any expenditure approved by the Chief Fire Officer in line with the Scheme of Delegation up to £200,000 in each financial year.

Information

The Authority’s scheme of delegation, formally adopted by the Authority on Monday 21 September 2026 states that the authority is delegated to the Chief Fire Officer for expenditure outside of budget up to £200,000 in each financial year. A report on the use of this delegated power will be brought to each meeting of the Audit, Risk and Governance committee, even if it is a nil report.

For the financial year (commencing 1 April 2026) up to 23 September 2026 there has been no expenditure that falls within this delegated authority.
